    I think I may just run it as written and start him at 0. The town (Norvik) he wants to create the temple in has some fierce competition from other temples already (Neorthe, Eartha, Sigel, Kenaz). So starting off at 0 really hammers home the aspect of him having to convert some of the populace over to Hoenir.

    I believe the Gazetteer is a typo as the current ruler of Eastheath should read “Mage-Duchess Eastheath”.

    She is mentioned in a couple places within the Hellfrost Atlas, and as you pointed out, in the Gazetteer too. Only one mention of the Mage-Duke Eastheath was made, which again, as you noted, was in the Ruler line of the Gazetteer entry.

    The ones not in there, bind snow, geysers, glass snow and red snow, are all in Region Guide #50 and the Rassilon Expansion 2.

    I’m actually just starting a Hellfrost campaign in Heldalund with 3 players next week. We are using SWADE as the base, and then injecting Hellfrost specific things as needed. If you ran SWADE with just the No Power Points, Multiple Languages, and Dynamic Backlash (for arcane backgrounds only) setting rules you’d be 90% covered. Then insert the Hellfrost-specific races, edges, hindrances, knowledge skills, gear and spells. Spell would likely be the most work as you’ll need power point costs and ranges may need to be tweaked, but I think someone on these forums did that already.

    The Hellfrost rules for weather, overland travel, and monsters are still all very usable as is.

    I hadn’t really noticed the gear changes. And just reading that section again I realized that Load Limits have changed to a table now. We’ve just been playing with the gear from Hellfrost as is, but it should be a simple matter to adjust the armor bonuses and include minimum strength. I’ll have to take a good look at the changes to weapons too.

    Yup, they are minor changes but pretty important. An extra +1 Armor for some armors is big! Weapons didn’t change all too much. Most of the Hellfrost gear will work as is too.

    Red-24, I read over your conversion and have to say you’ve captured nearly everything I could think of. One note on your unavailable powers list, you’ve got Relief mentioned as unavailable. Since this power is the new Succor, which appears on some caster spell lists, I’m thinking this might have been a typo?

    Also you noted that you are using the Hellfrost Gear lists. Will you be using the new stats for armor and weapons from SWADE? i.e. plate armor is now +4 protection, greatsword no longer has a Parry penalty, etc.

    When you say “Hellfrost revised edition” is that the same as the SWADE Jumpstart book? Or is this something new?

    I would play it that it doesn’t give you training in the skill. As written it only gives you a bonus so that’s how I’d play it.

    In your example, I would say the roll is at -1.
