I know, I know… I’m VERY late to the party.
I’ve run some Hellfrost before and a number of other settings, but I never really read all the way through Sundered Skies for some reason. Until now…
Some old friends from the town I used to live in (moved away 14 years ago) asked if I’d run a game for them if they came to my house (it’s about 2 hours away). They’ve never played Savage Worlds before, but are old school 2nd edition AD&D guys, though one has GM’ed a short Pathfinder game when he lived in NYC (he just moved back “home”). So, the plan is to play once every 6 weeks because that’s as often as our schedule rotations line up for Saturdays off. I gave them a choice of 10 settings and let them vote on it (I provided descriptions and links to reviews, etc.). They narrowed it down to 5 and I picked the one I wanted to run from those 5. I chose Sundered Skies.
My plan is to run the Plot Point campaign and assorted other published adventures, woven together. The more I read it, the more I wish it was my weekly game (we’re about halfway through Daring Entertainment’s War of the Dead, and I love it, but SS seems too cool to only play once every 6 weeks – I wish I could run about 4 weekly games).
