MinionAny hopes to see something more about the City of Iron? It has its own chapter in the world part of LoF so could technically be called a Realm.
If not I’m still very excited for the possibilities of further expansions to Hellfrost. (Does the planet/world have a name? I can only think of names to the different continents/regions.)Champion of Chronos

MinionJust flat Burning Wheel. I’ve a hardcopy of Gold and there’s a lot of good resources online.
I’m probably going to make Frostborn its own born lifepath for each race. I don’t know if there’s anything else I can put into its lifepath setting, but I’ll figure that out when I start writing it down.

MinionCool, I’d never thought about mixed heritage frostborn like that.
The reason I asked is that I’m trying to play hellfrost using the Burning Wheel System and lifespan is kinda important for character creation in that system

MinionWhat’s that old saying

virtue is a grace,
Grace is a little girl
who wouldn’t wash her face”Champion of Chronos

MinionI believe the front & left part applies specifically to the armor bonus provided by shields, and the armor bonus also only applies to range attacks. So in melee combat, a character with a shield will always benefit from the parry bonus the shield provides, but to get any bonus from the shield against a range attack they have to be able to block it, and to block they need to see it and move their shield there in time.
Savage Worlds doesn’t have a facing mechanic, which makes this rule kind of odd. My suggestion would be to either, rule on facing only when it’s important and use common sense (in 1v1 melee and an archer behind your character, no shield bonus), or introduce some sort of facing rules if it becomes that important.
I wouldn’t do anything too complicated with facing rules, something like: whenever you finish a move you pick your facing; if you want to change your facing without moving it costs 1 pace; no restrictions on moving a certain direction due to facing; no bonus for attack someone from behind. Pretty much just make facing important for range.Hope that helps

MinionEpic way to end a campaign.
As for poems or songs, I would suggest taking a look at this compilation of nordic stories that Enno put together. http://www.tripleacegames.com/forums/topic/sagas-and-stories-to-inspire-your-game/
I a huge proponent of taking pre-exisitng works and changing names and events to fit my on needs in roleplayingChampion of Chronos

MinionSo characters going through The Saga of the Frost Giants would likely be cursed by Thrym, especially for the last part?

MinionSo most Frostborn born in the Magocracy would probably have the Black Sheep hindrance because of their inability to learn Heahwisardry, but a character that work really hard and struggled against their innate inability would maybe be able to learn?

MinionCould I get some examples of what a character would have to do to receive a God Curse?
I’ve often imagined it as a someone with an arcane background for a deity committing an act that in anathema to their god, like a mortal sin++, but I’m sure there are other ways to really piss a god off.
