As many of you know the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition Kickstarter is live and has already funded.

One of the add-ons for it was the introduction of “Jumpstarts” which are essentially mini-setting books created by various licensees and savage worlds publishers to introduce people to their settings via the new edition.

I’m just curious if TAG will be producing any Jumpstarts for any of their awesome SW settings?

No time for one yet, as Wiggy confirmed to me these days.

Actually I just noticed TAG has added Hellfrost to the Jumpstart list on the Kickstarter page, so that answers that!

Take that with a grain of salt. We’ll see.

I’ve fallen in love with both, the Hellfrost Setting and Savage Worlds very lately. Now there is a new Edition of SW on the horizon which I back and I am eager to purchase some Hellfrost books as well.
Just to be sure I won’t buy the books now and in one month there is a new edition for Hellfrost announced, is it save to go with the existing material? Like will there be a kind of conversion guide for the new SW so I won’t have to buy the books twice in case, Hellfrost shifts to the new edition as well?

Most of the changes will affect the Players Handbook primarily, and some will affect the Bestiary.
When a new edition is ready, it will be announced quite a while in advance. Because such a book takes its time producing, especially with those new core rules and it’s own setting rules to be cleaned up.
Anyone who has already owned Hellfrost owns the Deluxe Rules too. He isn’t forced to change to the new rules immediately. We’ve already made the switch to Deluxe and will survive this one also.

@Enno, the Hellfrost core rulebooks seem to be out of print (at least here in Germany). Will there be a reprint of those?

If you’re talking about the German licensed books it’s for Prometheus Games to say if and when they reprint those.
According to their shop all 3 core books are currently available in HC and PDF.

The English version of Hellfrost is available in print from the TAG store and in print/PDF from DriveThruRPG/RPGNow.
